Ariel - Neutral - Appears mid-20s
Ariel is a particularly temperamental fallen angel, with a specific vendetta against the heavens. With no particular intention of making it back, Ariel tends to enjoy wreaking havoc and making trouble, quite uncharacteristic for her species. As a result, she tends to hang in a rather unsavory crowd.
Ian - Neutral - Appears early-20s
Ian is about as easygoing and laidback as they come. Having been expelled from Heaven for what he believes was a mistake, Ian has full faith that he'll be allowed back in eventually. In the meantime, he's perfectly glad to spend his time charming (but never seducing) human women.
DEMONS
Jocelyn - Neutral - Appears late 20s
One of the few demons who does not particularly enjoy manipulating humans, Jocelyn is a tough-talking, smart-mouthed pistol with a serious chip on her shoulder. Beneath her hard surface, however, she seems to be highly sympathetic to the human plight, and longs desperately to be one.
Mordred - Neutral - Appears early 30s
Dark, muscular and brooding, Mordred is the kind of men women swoon for, and that's exactly his intention. Beneath his pretty surface, Mordred is a manipulative, short-fused man with a point to prove. He works as a bouncer at Club Huh when he feels like it, and hangs out there when he's not wandering the city.
Seth - Neutral - Appears late teens/Early 20s
Quite intelligent and somewhat of a loner, Seth is a very sarcastic and judgmental soul. Without a particular preference for men or women, however, Seth tends to have quite enough love affairs to satiate his loneliness. Seth often attends a few advanced classes at Loyola U. in the daytime and frequents Club Huh by evening.
ELEMENTALS
James Irving - Chaos - 36
James is a very large man – in the tall and muscular sense. He’s incredibly fit, and mastery over Earth is just as strong as his body. He’s been asked to instruct Defense and Combat at Chaos. He’s a very tough teacher, but he’s the best.
Matthew McGinnis - 20 *
He’s a fire elemental, and lives in Faubourg Marigny with his sister. His life’s goal is to get out of New Orleans, and he’s currently trying to do that by working at The Rainforest Café.
Bianca McGinnis - Chaos - 17 *
She’s an earth elemental, and lives in her brother’s apartment. She’s currently studying at Tulane U. She firmly believes in the Chaos's purpose, though she's had little to do with it thus far.
Felicity O'Shea - ORDER - 32
A former pharmacist at Larkspur Pharmacy, Felicity now works full-time for the ORDER, teaching children to use their powers. She specializes in teaching water elementals. Felicity is very intelligent and slightly conflicted about the ORDER's purpose, but does her job well nonetheless.
Oliver Mason - Chaos - 24 *
A student at Tulane U., "Ollie" has had little to do with the Chaos, but is fervently opposed to the rumors he's heard of the ORDER. A high-spirited, goodhearted and feverish type of guy, Oliver doesn't take no for an answer and is constantly on the move. He is desperate to convince Silas of the ORDER's evil.
Silas Mason - Neutral - 25 *
Also a student at Tulane U., Silas is quite the charmer. Careless and reckless to a fault, Silas is constantly making trouble that Oliver's forced to clean up. Whether Silas doesn't care or honestly can't decide about whether he supports the Chaos or the ORDER is a mystery to both Oliver and Silas himself.
HUMANS
Joe Barry – Neutral - 45
Runs a convenience store in Tremé. He sees a lot of what goes on between the parahumans and the humans, but is trusted equally by both – he’s entirely neutral. He rolls with the punches. He’s not the most affectionate, but he’s a genuinely decent guy. The closest thing he’s ever had to a child is Natalia St. James. His brother lives in Texas. He doesn’t keep in contact with his parents, and is starting to think seriously about settling down.
Steven ‘The Weasel’ Hammond – Neutral - 36
Steve is the main writer for the Parahuman Post, the number one newspaper for parahumans in New Orleans. He is the only human member on the team, and this gets him quite a bit of skepticism. Nonetheless, he’s a very impressive reporter who will go to almost any length for a story.
Sophie Radford - Neutral - 22
A waitress at Pat O'Brien's bar, Sophie gets a regular earful of some of the supernatural goings-on in New Orleans. Though still somewhat of a skeptic, Sophie is nonetheless fascinated by the supernatural world, and reckless as she is, tends to get herself in many a dangerous situation.
MAGICIANS
Ling Bai – Chaos - 48
Ling is probably the most relaxed person you’ll ever meet. He stays that way from a strict regiment of meditation techniques. He’s a devout Buddhist. As such, he has been asked to instruct Meditation Techniques for Chaos. He’s a strict teacher, but a good person.
Lisa Gomez – Chaos - 34
Lisa is the nicest person you’ll ever meet. She’s all smiles, all the time. She used to work for a hospital as a doctor. She managed to work some… miracles. At least, that’s how her associates saw it. She was very subtle with her abilities as a healer, and never drew too much attention to herself. She has since quit the practice, but is now instructing Healing at Chaos.
Katherine Grace – Neutral - 28
Katherine (don’t call her ‘Katey’) is the other reporter for the Parahuman Post. She is quite gifted in the ways of precognition, and this helps considerably when it comes to being first on the story. She takes her job very seriously, but plays just as hard as she works.
Eddie Tank – Neutral - 47
Eddie is the owner of the Parahuman Post, and he runs it out of his basement. Some people might say he’s a bit of a nutcase, and his collection of cereal boxes doesn’t help his case. Regardless, he’s quite active in fighting for parahuman rights and he’s earned himself quite a following through his newspaper.
Illeana DuMorne - Pro-Human - 12
Referred to loosely as the ORDER's only real weapon, she is a prodigy of mental magics; descended from a powerful psychic, Illeana's powers are largely focused with memories and perceptions. Between crayons and kittens, she helps to brainwash particularly unruly parahumans brought in by the ORDER.
Zachary DuMorne - ? - 12
Currently - albeit slowly - emerging from a catatonic state of a little over six months, he is Illeana's twin brother. His magical powers may or may not have manifested during his sleep. When he awakens, it is likely he will choose not to work alongside his sister for the ORDER.
SLAYERS
James Oakes – ORDER - 25
James was witness to the slaughter of his entire family at a young age. Being the only survivor, it wasn’t long until the Government picked him up and put a gun in his hand. He underwent training for many years of his life, and it has left him a shell of his former self. He’s little more than a trained assassin for the Government now.
Jessica Perkins – ORDER - 25
Jessica used to be in love with a werewolf. ‘Used to be’ being the operative words. When she caught him with another woman, she snapped. She was always the jealous type. In a rage, she shot him and his werewolf girl dead. The Government got a hold of her and trained her, fuelling her rage and turning her into a killing machine.
Xander Burke – ORDER - 30
Xander’s tall, dark, and handsome. He’s not your typical slayer – very thoughtful and mentally-oriented. He always thinks things through. He’s the type to know everything. His sister was killed by a vampire. He genuinely wants world peace. Kind of watches out for Natalia, who he met through their working with the New Orleans F.B.I. branch. He worries about her, and acts like the big brother she never had.
Natalia St. James –- 29 *
Left her family when she was 15, and hasn’t seen any of them since. Five months later, her infant daughter was killed by looters during Hurricane Katrina. The government got wind of her through monitoring high school gym classes and standardized test results. She doesn’t talk about her past, and doesn’t want to.
VAMPIRES
Evie Strummond - Neutral - Appears mid-20s, actually 348**
Vain and somewhat uptight, Evie is the quintessential ice-cold beauty queen. With a serious chip on her shoulder and a face that reveals the pain of her long and many years of life, Evie isn't exactly the life of the party. Nonetheless, she has been as good as married to Josiah for many years, and doesn't need many friends beyond him. Her 'turning' is a topic of perpetual mystery.
Josiah Darcy - Neutral - Appears early 30s, actually 292**
The calm and cheerful type, Josiah is just the type of man to keep Evie in line and happy. He is a vampire who is particularly averse to killing, and feeds as rarely as possible. Though quite a bit younger than Evie, the age matters little to either of them. Josiah lived in the Massachusetts Bay Colony during the Salem Witch Trials shortly before being 'turned'.
Michael Chambers - Neutral - Appears early 40s, actually 523
A stoic, dignified type, Michael has old-world charm, manners, and a sharp sense of style. These gentle mannerisms are, however, are only a mild cloak for the dagger that is his love of the hunt. Michael has a fervor for blood rarely seen in such aged vampires.
Bella Dubois - Neutral - Appears early 20s, actually 47
A relatively new vampire, Bella is still learning about her newfound abilities. As a result, she has a tendency to 'not know her strength'. Before her turning, Bella was rather shy and well-mannered, and lived a very sheltered life. She attempts to hold down a job at the Algiers Public Library, but finds it difficult with her strange hours.
Caleb Mulvoy - Neutral - Appears late teens, actually 93
Having been turned at a young age, Caleb is perpetually looking too young for his brooding expression and oftentimes bleak surroundings. With a thirst for blood and fervor for killing that deeply shames him, Caleb tends to lose himself in the local partying scene and all the young men it has to offer.
WEREWOLVES
Jonah St. James – Neutral - 26 *
Always watches out for his younger brother. He was walking his brother home from baseball practice one day when they stumbled upon to werewolves scrapping. They got in the middle of it, and both suffered for it. He works at Mike's Garage in his spare time.
Luke St. James – Neutral - 20 *
Kind of reckless. He doesn’t like being told what to do, but he’s not stupid. He never goes too off the handle when he gets bored, just enough to make Jonah worry. He’s never had a steady girlfriend and doesn’t want one. The idea of being tied down makes him shudder.
Romulus Magellan – 24 *
Bitten at age 19, he’s the rough and tumble type. He’s got a short fuse, and loves women. He loves his brother but has a deep-seated need to be named Alpha of the pack, and he’ll do anything to achieve that goal. Part of the Jackal Five.
Remus Magellan – Neutral - 22 *
Bitten at age 17. He constantly lives in his brother’s shadow, and doesn’t play nice with others. He’s pretty anti-social – the result of never living up to Romulus. He shies away from anyone female, and is still trying to figure out just who he is. Part of the Jackal Five.
Aiolfi Gerard – Neutral - 24
Bitten at 18. He was recruited to the Jackal Five by Romulus, after Aristedes denied him entry to the Argyris pack. He’s the intelligent one, and would die for the pack, but refuses to turn his girlfriend. His best friend is Leon. When not hunting, he bartends at Craven's Moonshine. Part of the Jackal Five.
Leon Ferrer – Neutral - 20
He was recruited to the Jackal Five by Remus after being turned at 17. He loves to break things, and has serious issues with communication. Part of the Jackal Five.
Klaus Butler – 23
He was bitten at 19 and recruited by Remus. He’s big and brawny – obviously the muscles of the pack. He lives for the hunt, and his mind only runs on one track – kill. Part of the Jackal Five.
Aristedes Argyris – Neutral - 36**
Alpha male of his pack. Total pureblood fanatic. He doesn’t handle disrespect kindly. In his lifetime, he’s had several mates, but all have mysteriously died before they gave birth. He has no children right now, but his current mate is pregnant and he doesn’t know.
Angela Rousseau – Neutral - 29**
A member of the Argyris pack. She’s been claimed by Aristedes. She’s pregnant and afraid to tell anyone, for fear that something will happen to her, like the other women in Aristede's life..
