CHARACTER APPLICATION FORM

Hey there! We've changed things at this newly revamped DG in hopes to make things easier on both parts when it comes to applying. Hopefully this informal sort of interview will be easy to fill out and easy to read, not to mention highly informational.

With these areas, we're really looking for only the vaguest shape of your character. The one area we will be most interested in will be the powers and special abilities, so that's where you'll want to put the most effort.

When applying, please create a new topic with your characters LAST NAME, FIRST NAME in the title, and place the species of your character in the topic description. Copy the code below and paste it into the body of your post. Please do not post incomplete applications - they will be trashed immediately.

After you post your application, two admins must approve the application before you can go out and get started. Don't be surprised if we ask a few questions about your character before we pass it - sometimes there's an interesting bit of info that we'd like a little bit of elaboration on.

Please remember that your roleplay sample needs to be of the character you are applying for. That means we don't want you to recycle an old RP sample. Make a new one.

Do NOT PM the administrators about your application. Do NOT ask the administrators, or other members, to read your application via the shoutbox. Do not use excessive messages in the shoutbox to draw attention to your application.

Though I wouldn't say she is human, she lacks about 3/4 of the qualities that would render her a complete angel. What she lacks in the traits of the angelic, she makes up for in mighty magical force. She commands wind, rain, the skies-- a stormbringer of the very highest variety. A unique trait, to be sure, one that does not appear frequently among other magicians and elementals. It is this that makes Ganymede a force to be reckoned with.

Rome had an abundance of fountains.

In fact, everything about the Vatican City was enchanting. The artwork, the history, the spirituality. It was natural for anyone with a mild interest in any of those things to make a pilgrimage to the place of popes, Roman emperors, and artists. Ganymede, daughter of God, had absolutely zero interest in any of those things. She had watched from the heavens as a child when Julius Caesar's empire succumbed to civil war. She had seen angels pose for the works of Michelangelo. Those things were not ones that she needed to immerse herself in any longer. Why claim she was going to Rome for a learning experience, when she already knew more than the citizens?

Though it was true that Ganymede had no real interest in studying these things, it was true that being around the specific culture did greatly set her mind at ease. Every famous painting or divine artwork was reminiscent of someone that she knew. Ironic, actually. The throng of tourists that usually crowded Vatican City made it easy to blend in, easy to pose as anyone from an American to a Frenchman, though Ganymede could never fully disguise herself as Italian, with her fiery red hair and Aristocratic features.

As she sat on the edge of a stone fountain, the water misting and rippling in the pool behind her, Ganymede had buried herself behind a Greek translation of a thick novel that she wasn't bothering to read. It was too difficult to see dark text when you were wearing eggplant-hue tinted sunglasses. The shades were enormous on her small, pixie-like face, so that her nose and lips were the only other feature entirely visible. Ganymede used her dark glasses as a cover for the fact that she was staring at every single person who walked by.

Night was falling in St. Peters Square, and the number of visitors to the basilica were becoming less and less as people retired to their hotel rooms or made dinner arrangements for the evening. Ganymede's sunglasses remained firmly in place on her nose even after the sun had mostly set. Her electric blue eyes adjusted to the dark relatively quickly, leaving her staring over the pages of her book at the streets. She ducked her head as an attractive local zoomed past her on a moped, casting her a curious glance as he did so.

When he had gone and the sidewalks had cleared, it was completely dark in the square, and lights were going on around her. Ganymede stood up, tucking her book into the canvas bag that hung from her shoulder, brushing orange hair from her eyes. "Connieeee," she sang softly, mockingly, into the dark. She hadn't taken an airplane from New Orleans to Italy just to enjoy the culture. "I know you're here somewhere," she murmured. And she didn't care if it took all night to find her. Constantine could blink her way to Rome. But those less fortunate, whose abilities were more concerned with the weather, had to do things like take long flights with grumpy passengers.

But Ganymede was patient. And she could wait.

Administrator Group: Illuminati Posts: 116 Joined: 6-February 08 Member No.: 1 Reputation: none Alliance: Passive Marital Status: Single Mythology Influences: Helen of Troy Status: Offline	SOME NOTES ABOUT APPLICATIONS I've posted this just about everywhere, but I'd like to lay down the exact specifics of what we're accepting in the way of registrations. we ARE accepting; angels magicians (witches, wizards, warlocks) elementals (air, water, earth, fire) vampires demons werewolves humans slayers hybrids - but we're going to be VERY selective about them, as they ARE rare. That means we are accepting every species. If you're interested in an angel, though, you'll have to check the canon list for them, as those will be canon-only.
