Let's face it, there are a lot of unusual terms being used at DG - sometimes even the admins have a hard time keeping track of what means what. So in an effort to keep everyone informed (or to at least have this available, for anyone interested), we've put together this list. As of right now we've only got a few things, but as we put the finishing touches on the rest of the site, more will come together.
A- astral cloning - the magical ability to create a clone of oneself, much like a hologram. The 'clone' is entirely visible to the human eye, and can speak, think, and otherwise fully act as their human counterpart. They are not, however, tangible, in any way, shape, or form, again, like a hologram.
B- blinking - the magical ability of instant teleportation, wherein the magical being can teleport from one location to another within the 'blink' of an eye (a fraction of a second).
- bloodlust - an insatiable desire to drink blood (affects vampires only). bloodlust periods happen once every three years and last for around 3 weeks. for more information, look in the Vampire section.
C- cloaking - the magical ability to turn oneself invisible.
DE- elemental - a magical being with the ability to control one element. (air, fire, water, earth)
F- firestarting - the magical ability to spontaneously start fires. This is not the same ability that fire elementals have; this is not spontaneous combustion.

L- lock houses (werewolf) - houses or basements specially equipped (occasionally with cages) to contain weres on the night of the full moon.
- lunar tension (werewolf) - the period of the 3 - 4 days before and after the full moon when werewolves begin to feel the pull of the moon. It is not unusual for newly turned werewolves to experience great stress and anxiety during this time. It is also not unusual for newly turned werewolves to repeatedly change immediately prior to the full moon (up to 2 days before the full moon) or to occasionally experience subtle physical changes during this time. (For example, the most common is the constant lengthening and then shrinking of their canines. Also common is a surge in senses, craving of meat, adrenaline rush, etc.)

N- nephilim - the hybrid offspring of an angel and a human; it is typically the angel who is the father. (species information)
O
P- parahuman - supernatural humanoid, considered to be alive and functioning as a citizen; they have legal rights under a new amendment to the constitution. These include vampires, werewolves, magicians, elementals, hybrids, fallen angels, and demons.
- part were - the hybrid offspring of a human and a werewolf. (species information)

S- slayers - humans trained in the art of hunting, tracking, restraining, and killing parahumans. They are few in number today, employed by the government and police stations to control the disobedient parahumans. (species information)
